The Johnston County Aero Modelers Club is located near Smithfield, North Carolina. Our flying field is located off of Galilee Road from just South of Highway 210. The entrance to our field is marked by a sign on the left hand side and is also used by farmers to access their fields.
We are a club of about 36 full and part time flyers and we have a lot of diversity in the types of aircraft that we fly. Glow fueled powered airplanes are by far the most common airplanes at the field. However, it is not rare to see from electric to 100" + aerobatic ships in the skies above our field.
We fly from a grass field that our members volunteer to keep well groomed during the flying season
JCAC Meetings: Are usually the first Friday of every month at the field from April to September. During the winter months our meetings are held at the Johnston County Airport near Smithfield. All meeting start at 7:00pm.
All of our meeting are open to the Public. Anyone interested in model aviation is more than welcome to attend.
